Jellyfish Lake, Palau

Jellyfish Lake, Eil Malk Island, Palau

Jellyfish Lake is a marine lake located on Eil Malk Island in Palau, which is one of Palau's most famous dive ( snorkeling only ) sites. It is notable for the millions of golden jellyfish which migrate horizontally across the lake daily. The depth of the Jellyfish Lake is estimated about 30 meters.
Although the jellyfish living in the lake have stinging cells, they are not in general powerful enough to cause harm to humans. The Fish 'n Fins tour guide recommended that people with allergies to jellyfish consider wearing protective clothing.
